The town of Bournemouth is a shoppers paradise, a combination
of high street favourites and exclusive boutiques. The fashionable
new look Square, with its mosaics, gives an atmosphere of continental
chic. With its seven miles of beach and beautiful gardens, it’s
worth a visit.
ITINERARY:
Friday: (“Christmas Eve”) A leisurely departure for
our journey to Bournemouth and our Hotel. We will call at Alton
in Hampshire. The long main street is a blend of Georgian and
later buildings. We will be at the Hotel early afternoon for tea
and biscuits in the Bar Lounge. Dinner is 6.30pm. At 8.30pm it’s
carol singing and dancing in the ballroom.
Saturday: (“Christmas Day”) After breakfast, the
day is free for you to explore Bournemouth. At 4.00pm it’s
afternoon cake and biscuits. At 6.30pm it’s a Candlelit
Traditional Turkey Dinner followed by coffee in the Bar Lounge.
At 8.30pm, Music and Dancing in the Ballroom until 11.00pm.
Sunday: (“Boxing Day”) We explore the New Forest.
There will be stops for refreshments, photographs, shopping and
sightseeing. At 6.30pm a Candlelit Dinner is followed by coffee
in the Bar Lounge. At 8.30pm Music and Dancing in the Ballroom
until 11.00pm.
Monday: We say farewell to our Hotel and Bournemouth and make
our way home. We will call at Haskins Garden Centre on the way.
A chance to do some Christmas Shopping. We estimate to arrive
home early evening.
ACCOMMODATION:
Our Hotel for our stay is the Russell Court Hotel. It overlooks
the bay, and is within easy reach of the BIC centre, the Pavilion,
theatres, pier, and Town Centre, as well as the popular Bournemouth
Central Gardens. All bedrooms have private facilities, tea/coffee
facilities, colour TV and direct dial telephone. The hotel has
a bar, ballroom and a lift to all floors.
