Duration: 2 Day Minibreak
The Hatfield Banquet offers a sumptuous four course dinner and
excellent entertainment, set within wonderful surroundings. It
takes place in the magnificent 15th century Great Hall of the
Old Palace of Hatfield House.
ITINERARY:
Friday: It’s onto the coach for our journey to our Hotel
at Luton. Stops will be made on the way. We will arrive at the
Hotel during the afternoon, where we will have free time until
we leave for our Banquet at Hatfield House. Here you will be served
a delicious dinner, which makes the most use of fresh local produce.
A half bottle of red or white wine (or soft drink) is provided
per person. During the evening, Old English Entertainers will
treat you to authentic Elizabethan period music, song and theatre.
Henry VIII and Queen Elizabeth 1, together with their courtiers,
will amuse and entertain you. After dinner, the party will continue
and dance the evening away.
Saturday: A leisurely breakfast. Use the leisure facilities before
boarding the coach for our short journey to Cambridge, a delight
to visit in any season. Join us on an optional walking tour of
the city with a local qualified guide or you may choose to board
the hop on, hop off bus tour. Relax in its many pubs, restaurants
and cafés while exploring the shops. Be inspired by the
museums and art galleries and, of course, the University. We estimate
to be home early evening.
